What is Hypnosis?
What
exactly is hypnosis? Is it when you give up all control to another
person and then become the object of ridicule and laughter by doing
strange things, like barking like a dog or speaking in Martian-Talk?
Maybe
that's what might come to your mind when the word hypnosis is mentioned.
Oh, yes. We've all seen those performances on television. They exist,
and they can be hilarious to watch. But that is only one way that
hypnosis can be used.
What I want to talk about here is the powerful use of hypnosis to heal
and to change lives.
One reason that hypnosis can be an effective tool for change and healing
is because it is a way to directly communicate with the subconscious
mind, which controls all involuntary reflexes within the human body.
We don't have to think about pumping blood through our hearts, because
our subconscious mind simply directs that activity.
We don't have to think about forming a scab over a wound, because our
subconscious mind also directs that activity.
Our subconscious mind directs thousands of functions within our bodies
every day. It knows what our body needs, and just acts accordingly.
Sometimes the programming within our subconscious mind becomes altered,
like a corrupt file in our computer, and then certain automatic results
we get are not what we really want.
Hypnosis is the way that we can repair that corrupt file, so that our
automatic processes once again are restored to achieve the perfection
that we were all intended to be.
Hypnosis is effective and in order to reprogram our subconscious mind,
we must first get past that wily watchdog, our conscious mind.
Our
conscious mind is very useful to us, and one of the functions of our
conscious mind is to use critical thinking to evaluate data, and then to
use that data to make decisions.
It's like a protector of the subconscious mind. You have to get past the
conscious mind in order to get into the subconscious mind. And that's a
very good thing, except when we want to reprogram the subconscious mind.
That's where hypnosis comes in. Hypnosis allows us to by-pass the
conscious mind and go directly into the subconscious mind to make the
desired corrections.
When what we desire is in alignment with what is operating within the
subconscious mind, then we achieve the results we want.
For instance, in the case of excess weight, perhaps the subconscious
mind is operating in the belief that carrying excess weight is
protecting the person from something.
In that case, the subconscious mind is doing exactly what it must do
based on the programming within it.
Hypnosis allows us to change that programming. The subconscious mind can
be reprogrammed to operate in the belief that it is safe to release any
excess weight.
Hypnosis can be used for many things such as elimination of negative
habits like smoking, nail biting, addictions, compulsions, limiting
beliefs, fears, phobias, etc.
Hypnosis is also very effective in areas of enhancing sports and
business performance, achieving excellence, going to the next level,
winning and success.
It is also being used currently to eliminate the need for anesthesia
during dental procedures, surgery and childbirth, which leads to a
quicker recovery time.
There
are so many wonderful applications for hypnosis that can be used to
assist people in so many ways that lives can truly be
changed.....quickly, painlessly and affordably.
What would you like to change? Hypnosis may just be the answer you've
been looking for.
