Can I Be Hypnotized?
The answer to the frequently asked
question, "Can I be hypnotized?" is a resounding
"yes!"
We
all have experienced hypnosis, or have been in a trance state, whether
or not we have ever been formally hypnotized.
As
a matter of fact, we do it all the time, many times, every day. We've
actually been going into hypnosis all of our lives.
Interestingly,
a lot of the work that is done in a hypnosis session has to do with
undoing the unintentional programming that has occurred with many
people, therefore causing them to be stuck in a rut, and not knowing how
to break free of that stuckness.
It's
not necessary to go into such a deep state of trance that you don't
remember anything in order to achieve a state that is desirable and
conducive to making the positive changes that we endeavor to make by
using hypnosis as a therapeutic tool.
It's
important to understand that hypnosis is a natural and perfectly safe
state to be in, where you are always in complete control. When you try
formal hypnosis for the first time you will amazingly discover that it
feels very, very familiar.
"Oh,
this is what hypnosis feels like. I can do this. This feels good. I've
done this before. OK, I get it now."
